AL PENSAR EN ACCIDENTES Y MUERTES EN EL BUCEO<\/strong> normalmente vienen a la mente eventos relacionados con la descompresi\u00f3n. No obstante, el programa de an\u00e1lisis de incidentes del Departamento de Investigaci\u00f3n de DAN ha demostrado que aproximadamente un tercio de las muertes en el buceo pueden relacionarse con un evento card\u00edaco, lo que vuelve a los problemas card\u00edacos la causa principal de muerte durante el buceo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El evento card\u00edaco fatal que se presume es el m\u00e1s com\u00fan es una arritmia que provoca un paro card\u00edaco. Algunas afecciones m\u00e9dicas, incluso la hipertrofia ventricular izquierda (HVI), una afecci\u00f3n donde los m\u00fasculos del coraz\u00f3n se expanden a un tama\u00f1o mayor que el normal, se correlacionan con un incremento de las arritmias. Al bucear, el aumento de la presi\u00f3n y la carga de trabajo tambi\u00e9n pueden aumentar el estr\u00e9s sobre el coraz\u00f3n, y posiblemente provocar arritmias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DAN se interesa especialmente en el estudio de la prevalencia de las arritmias y la HVI en los buzos de seguridad p\u00fablica debido a la frecuente naturaleza extenuante de sus buceos. Queremos trabajar con equipos de seguridad p\u00fablica de todo el pa\u00eds que est\u00e9n dispuestos a participar en nuestro estudio, que supone reunir electrocardiogramas y medidas de ultrasonido del coraz\u00f3n antes, durante y despu\u00e9s de un buceo de entrenamiento.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
