Los VGE m\u00e1s grandes y numerosos se asocian estad\u00edsticamente con un mayor riesgo de enfermedad descompresiva (DCS), pero la relaci\u00f3n no es directa. Se han documentado diferencias en el riesgo de VGE y DCS entre individuos y en el mismo individuo <em>-<\/em> incluso con inmersiones id\u00e9nticas. Es importante destacar que la evoluci\u00f3n de la VGE tras la inmersi\u00f3n var\u00eda dr\u00e1sticamente, por lo que obtener mediciones frecuentes puede ser importante para comprender la influencia de la VGE en otros mecanismos fisiol\u00f3gicos en el buceo. Con este objetivo, los investigadores de la UNC est\u00e1n trabajando en la obtenci\u00f3n de miles de grabaciones de ultrasonidos que se utilizar\u00e1n en el perfeccionamiento de algoritmos automatizados para la detecci\u00f3n de <em>GEV<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-background has-dan-light-gray-background-color has-dan-light-gray-color\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Los embolismos gaseosos venosos (EGV) son burbujas que crecen a partir del nitr\u00f3geno disuelto presente en los tejidos del buzo cuando asciende. Se detectan mediante una ecograf\u00eda, en especial cuando se trata de un ecocardiograma transtor\u00e1cico (una ecograf\u00eda del coraz\u00f3n), y se observan como puntos brillantes que circulan por las cavidades card\u00edacas venosas. Como parte de la investigaci\u00f3n de buceo, se eval\u00faan videos de burbujas que circulan por el coraz\u00f3n y personas calificadas clasifican las burbujas seg\u00fan una escala de gravedad que se correlaciona con el riesgo de sufrir EDC. Adem\u00e1s, existe otro tipo de evaluaci\u00f3n basada en el recuento manual de burbujas, que es m\u00e1s reproducible y f\u00e1cil de aprender por parte de las personas sin formaci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica y ofrece ventajas para la automatizaci\u00f3n inform\u00e1tica. No obstante, la gran desventaja de este m\u00e9todo tan utilizado en la investigaci\u00f3n de la descompresi\u00f3n es su lentitud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En este estudio, estamos desarrollando un formulario en l\u00ednea para que el p\u00fablico en general cuente los embolismos gaseosos venosos presentes en ecocardiogramas y los reporte. Esta herramienta web permitir\u00e1 que las personas nos ayuden de manera voluntaria a recopilar recuentos completos de burbujas en ecocardiogramas, lo que nos servir\u00e1 para desarrollar algoritmos de aprendizaje autom\u00e1tico a fin de automatizar esta tarea en el futuro.
