Ce type d\u2019incident peut pourtant \u00eatre \u00e9vit\u00e9 gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une formation sp\u00e9cifique et une compr\u00e9hension de base des filetages et valves de bouteilles de plong\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:9px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-dan-blue-200-color has-text-color\" id=\"h-why-does-this-happen\">Pourquoi cela se produit-il ?&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Aux \u00c9tats-Unis, le filetage parall\u00e8le de col de bouteille le plus courant est le NPSM (National Pipe Straight Mechanical) de \u00be de pouce, avec 14 filets par pouce (TPI). En syst\u00e8me m\u00e9trique, le filetage le plus r\u00e9pandu est le M25 x 2 \u2013 ISO avec 12,7 TPI, souvent (et \u00e0 tort) pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 comme l\u2019\u00e9quivalent m\u00e9trique du NPSM \u00be de pouce.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Une valve filet\u00e9e M25 peut sembler compatible avec un col de bouteille NPSM \u00be\", mais exigera un serrage plus important et ne garantira probablement pas l\u2019\u00e9tanch\u00e9it\u00e9, ce qui am\u00e8nera \u00e0 un serrage excessif pour obtenir un joint \u2014 avec des cons\u00e9quences potentiellement d\u00e9sastreuses. Une transition progressive vers le filetage parall\u00e8le NPSM de \u00be de pouce pour la plong\u00e9e a ensuite eu lieu, et ce dernier a \u00e9t\u00e9 adopt\u00e9 comme norme vers 1970. Les bouteilles ISO filet\u00e9es en m\u00e9trique doivent porter, sur la couronne, le marquage du filetage de sortie (par exemple : M25 x 2).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La Compressed Gas Association (CGA) recommande que les bouteilles certifi\u00e9es conformes aux sp\u00e9cifications du Department of Transportation (DOT) des \u00c9tats-Unis soient marqu\u00e9es d\u2019un code CGA \u2014 une recommandation souvent omise ou mal comprise. Depuis 2009, la CGA exige \u00e9galement que les valves de bouteille soient marqu\u00e9es avec le m\u00eame identifiant.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un technicien de plong\u00e9e consciencieux utilisera un jaugeur de filetages ou un calibre de contr\u00f4le pour v\u00e9rifier les filetages lorsqu\u2019aucun marquage n\u2019est pr\u00e9sent.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:11px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-dan-blue-200-color has-text-color\"><strong>Cons\u00e9quence<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>En raison de l\u2019adoption g\u00e9n\u00e9ralis\u00e9e des bouteilles filet\u00e9es selon les normes ISO, on observe une augmentation des raccordements incompatibles entre valves et bouteilles. Une valve M25 x 2 commence \u00e0 s\u2019ins\u00e9rer dans une bouteille filet\u00e9e NPSM de \u00be de pouce sur environ trois \u00e0 cinq filets, puis se bloque. La diff\u00e9rence de conception entre les filetages de la valve m\u00e9trique entra\u00eene un croisement avec le filetage de la bouteille am\u00e9ricaine, ce qui peut avoir des cons\u00e9quences catastrophiques.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:9px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-dan-blue-200-color has-text-color\"><strong>Recommandations essentielles<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Il ne faut <strong>jamais<\/strong> forcer l\u2019installation d\u2019une valve \u00e0 filetage parall\u00e8le avec joint torique dans une bouteille. Le vissage \u00e0 la main suffit pour amener la valve en contact avec la surface sup\u00e9rieure du col de la bouteille, qu\u2019il s\u2019agisse d\u2019un filetage imp\u00e9rial ou m\u00e9trique. Une fois la valve mise en place \u00e0 la main, on applique un couple de serrage pour comprimer le joint torique, assurer l\u2019\u00e9tanch\u00e9it\u00e9 et \u00e9viter un desserrage accidentel.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le couple de serrage est une unit\u00e9 de mesure d\u00e9finie en livres-pied (lb<sub>f<\/sub>\u00b7ft) ou en newtons-m\u00e8tre (N\u00b7m). La valeur de couple recommand\u00e9e pour les bouteilles de plong\u00e9e est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement de 50 lb<sub>f<\/sub>ft, soit 67,5 N\u00b7m.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un technicien de plong\u00e9e avis\u00e9 devrait suivre une formation sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e afin de mieux comprendre tous les aspects des connexions entre bouteilles et valves, ainsi que les outils utilis\u00e9s pour v\u00e9rifier la compatibilit\u00e9 des filetages.
