Il n'est pas n\u00e9cessaire de d\u00e9terminer si la personne bless\u00e9e souffre de la maladie de d\u00e9compression (MDD), d'une embolie gazeuse art\u00e9rielle (EGA) ou d'une noyade non fatale car l'oxyg\u00e8ne peut \u00eatre b\u00e9n\u00e9fique dans toutes ces situations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>S'il est facile de d\u00e9terminer si vous devez utiliser l'oxyg\u00e8ne, certaines personnes peuvent \u00eatre perplexes quant \u00e0 la mani\u00e8re de l'administrer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-mask-selection\">S\u00e9lection du masque<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>La configuration correcte de votre kit d'oxyg\u00e8ne est essentielle pour fournir le pourcentage d'oxyg\u00e8ne le plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 possible, mais chaque situation est diff\u00e9rente. Les deux sont utilis\u00e9s avec un masque de r\u00e9animation RCP dont le filtre a \u00e9t\u00e9 retir\u00e9.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Si le plongeur respire mais a du mal \u00e0 atteindre la pression n\u00e9cessaire pour actionner la valve, changer pour un masque sans r\u00e9inspiration qui doit \u00eatre utilis\u00e9 sur l'orifice \u00e0 d\u00e9bit continu avec un d\u00e9bit de d\u00e9part de 10 \u00e0 15 litres par minute (l\/min). Le masque sans r\u00e9inspiration fournit un pourcentage \u00e9lev\u00e9 d'oxyg\u00e8ne \u00e0 la personne bless\u00e9e mais, comme l'air ambiant est aspir\u00e9 dans le flux de gaz, la quantit\u00e9 d'oxyg\u00e8ne d\u00e9livr\u00e9e est plus basse. Cette m\u00e9thode entra\u00eene \u00e9galement plus de gaspillage en raison du flux continu et la bouteille d'oxyg\u00e8ne ne durera pas aussi longtemps qu'avec une valve \u00e0 la demande ou un MTV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Si le plongeur ne respire pas, un MTV est le premier choix. Avec cette configuration, deux personnes peuvent fournir de l'oxyg\u00e8ne tout en effectuant des compressions thoraciques et la respiration artificielle. Les MTV sont \u00e9quip\u00e9s d'une soupape de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 en cas de surpression pour \u00e9viter le sur-gonflage des poumons mais le secouriste doit tout de m\u00eame \u00eatre prudent et maintenir le d\u00e9bit pendant une seconde \u00e0 la fois maximum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Au lieu d'un MTV, le kit d'oxyg\u00e8ne peut \u00eatre \u00e9quip\u00e9 d'un ballon masque BVM (= bag valve mask), que le secouriste peut utiliser avec ou sans oxyg\u00e8ne suppl\u00e9mentaire. Avec l'oxyg\u00e8ne suppl\u00e9mentaire, la personne bless\u00e9e re\u00e7oit pr\u00e8s de 100 % d'oxyg\u00e8ne. Sans oxyg\u00e8ne suppl\u00e9mentaire, le BVM ne peut fournir que de l'air (21 % d'oxyg\u00e8ne). Si le BVM n'a pas de masque int\u00e9gr\u00e9, utilisez le masque de RCP sans filtre.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les sauveteurs doivent \u00eatre particuli\u00e8rement prudents avec un BVM car il n'y a pas d'arr\u00eat pour les emp\u00eacher de surpressuriser les poumons. Appuyez toujours lentement sur le r\u00e9servoir et ne d\u00e9passez pas un tiers du volume du sac. L'oxyg\u00e8ne suppl\u00e9mentaire est ajout\u00e9 de la m\u00eame mani\u00e8re que vous connecteriez un masque sans r\u00e9inspiration. Assurez-vous qu'il y a un d\u00e9bit suffisant pour ramener le sac \u00e0 sa taille normale avant d'administrer la respiration suivante.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Si un MTV ou un BVM n'est pas disponible, le secouriste doit pratiquer le bouche-\u00e0-bouche avec un masque de RCP et l'insert filtrant en place. Sans apport d'oxyg\u00e8ne suppl\u00e9mentaire, la teneur en oxyg\u00e8ne de la personne bless\u00e9e est d'environ 16 %, ce qui correspond \u00e0 l'expiration du secouriste. Vous pouvez ajouter de l'oxyg\u00e8ne suppl\u00e9mentaire en utilisant l'orifice du masque de RCP, mais la quantit\u00e9 sera toujours bien inf\u00e9rieure \u00e0 celle obtenue avec un MTV ou un BVM. Il faut tenir compte de la distance qui vous s\u00e9pare des soins m\u00e9dicaux en tenant compte du pire sc\u00e9nario possible.
