From dive business meetings and safety training sessions to social gatherings and media initiatives, DAN’s presence at the 2024 DEMA Show in Las Vegas supported our commitment to serving the diving community as your dive safety association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DIVE BUSINESS MEETINGS AND RESOURCES<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

DAN’s booth served as a hub for engaging with show attendees and hosting productive meetings with dive industry professionals. DAN staff addressed questions and discussed DAN Business Member<\/a> benefits and programs, such as Student Membership<\/a>, liability insurance<\/a> discounts, and our recently doubled referral rewards<\/a> of $10 per new DAN member.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These meetings provided a preview of the new DAN Business Member Pack, launching in early 2025. This comprehensive kit will provide dive businesses and professionals with fresh marketing materials, including new brochures for DAN membership and dive accident insurance. More details about the kit’s contents and distribution will be announced soon. Ahead of the kit’s launch, DAN Business Members can already access enhanced digital resources, such as a new introductory slideshow presentation, through our upgraded Business Member portal<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The booth also featured DAN Store products, showcasing emergency oxygen and first aid equipment alongside new lifestyle items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TRAINING AND EDUCATION<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

DAN presented an Instructor Qualification Course (IQC) and an Instructor Trainer Workshop (ITW)<\/a>, equipping attendees with training to teach Diving First Aid, Basic Life Support, Emergency Oxygen Administration, and more. A 2025 DAN Instructor, Trainer, and Examiner Update session also took place during DEMA. An online version will be available in early 2025 for those who couldn’t attend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DAN researchers, doctors, and safety experts delivered presentations on topics of vital interest to dive professionals and business owners, including liveaboards, fitness to dive, immersion pulmonary edema, and more. These subjects will be explored further in upcoming DAN publications and communications with members.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

DAN MEMBER SOCIAL<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The DAN Member Social brought together more than 1,000 dive industry professionals for an evening of community and celebration at the Westgate Las Vegas. The event\u2019s presentation featured videos highlighting DAN’s Every Diver campaign<\/a> and recent achievements in dive safety and medicine. Guests created lasting memories in our photo and video booths \u2014 view the gallery here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
