Dans les cours d'initiation, les plongeurs apprennent \u00e0 \u00e9quilibrer la pression dans leurs oreilles, mais le barotraumatisme auriculaire reste la blessure la plus fr\u00e9quente en plong\u00e9e. Le barotraumatisme auriculaire provoque des douleurs et peut endommager le tympan, mais ne met pas une vie en danger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un barotraumatisme pulmonaire et une embolie gazeuse art\u00e9rielle (EGA) peuvent se produire si les plongeurs ne respirent pas pendant la remont\u00e9e. Ces affections mettent une vie en danger. La meilleure pr\u00e9vention consiste \u00e0 \u00e9viter de monter trop rapidement ou de paniquer pendant une remont\u00e9e.
