II. Proposal Body (Not to exceed four pages):
- Project title
- Abstract (300 words maximum)
- Introduction, including appropriate background, rationale, and support from the published medical/scientific literature.
- Goal and objectives, including clear statement of central question or problem and the major elements comprising the objectives to address the goal. What are the hypotheses?
- Methods, including summary of approach, procedures, experimental designs, technical methods, and/or statistical treatment. Indicate the type of equipment to be used and the frequency of its need.
- Work plan and time schedule, providing dates and locations and outline of schedule for completion of work.
- Significance/relevance, explaining the anticipated contribution and significance of this project to diving and hyperbaric medicine.

The proposal and two letters of support must be submitted electronically as a single PDF file to AUAS. Proposals will be peer-reviewed by an AUAS panel for scientific merit, project feasibility, and appropriateness for AUAS funding.
