DAN is pleased to welcome Sandra Gracía, Chris Foisey, and Melodie Treviño to its Ambassador Program. With backgrounds spanning dive education, creative storytelling, technical exploration, and ocean conservation, these divers share a commitment to safer, more responsible diving.
The DAN Ambassador Program connects people who are passionate about diving and committed to supporting DAN’s mission. By sharing educational resources, raising awareness of dive safety, and introducing their communities to DAN’s services, ambassadors help more divers understand the importance of training, preparation, and accident prevention.
Sandra Gracía: Sharing the Ocean Through Art and Education
Based in Colombia, she is an industrial designer, digital artist, entrepreneur, and dive instructor whose connection with the ocean extends well beyond her time underwater.
Through digital art and underwater photography, Sandra shares the moments and stories that keep her returning to the sea.
As a dive instructor and DAN Ambassador, Sandra is committed to promoting a safer and more conscious diving culture while inspiring others to explore, respect, and protect the underwater world.

Chris Foisey: Making Dive Education Accessible
He is a professional scuba instructor based in Ontario, Canada, and the creator of Modern Diver Channel. A certified cave diver and technical decompression diver, he has more than a decade of experience educating divers and working with scuba equipment.
His diving adventures range from historic shipwrecks in Canada’s cold-water lakes to tropical reefs and Florida’s underwater caves. Through Modern Diver Channel, which he launched in 2020, Chris shares diving tips, equipment information, and experiences to help people discover and navigate the world of scuba.
As a DAN Ambassador, Chris brings this focus on accessible education to conversations about diver safety, helping connect his audience with information and resources that support better preparation.

Melodie Treviño: Connecting Exploration, Safety, and Conservation
She is a Mexican explorer, technical diver, entrepreneur, ocean advocate, and international speaker. As CEO of Saving Our Sharks Foundation, she leads initiatives integrating scientific research, marine conservation, environmental education, sustainable tourism, and community engagement.
A former member of Mexico’s National Diving Team in competitive diving, Melodie brings the discipline of high-performance sports to underwater exploration and conservation leadership. Her diving experience includes advanced cave diving, closed-circuit rebreather diving, trimix, and deep-ocean expeditions. She has participated in underwater explorations in Mexico, including the Taam Ja’ blue hole.
As a DAN Global Ambassador, Melodie champions diver safety, education, preparedness, and responsible exploration. Through her leadership and storytelling, she connects divers, scientists, coastal communities, governments, tourism, and the private sector to support ocean conservation.
