DAN World TravelAssist® benefits are provided by DAN World, Travel Guard, and other service providers depending on the benefit. To access these benefits or to request emergency medical transportation, you must contact DAN TravelAssist for assistance. Emergency medical transportation arranged directly by you may not be reimbursed.  Emergency Medical Transportation and Travel Assistance Benefits are insured benefits underwritten by Accident & General Insurance Company, Ltd., a Cayman Islands based insurance company with its principal place of business at c/o Artex Risk Solutions (Cayman) Ltd., P.O. DAN Dive Injury (Treatment) Insurance Plans

The Dive Injury Insurance Plans are in addition to your DAN Membership (Individual AUD$82.50, Family AUD$110).
The below treatment benefits apply for covered dive accidents that occur outside of Australia.

Depth Conditions Certified Divers In the event of a dive injury insurance claim for a depth beyond 50m, a Member will be required to demonstrate that he/she held an appropriate certification and experience for the dive and was using appropriate breathing gas mixes and equipment during the covered dive or Repetitive Dive Series.

Honan Insurance Group Pty Ltd  (ABN 67 005 372 396 AFSL246749) (“HIG”) has appointed DAN World Ltd (ABN 55 324 165 878) (“DAN”) as its authorised representative (AR No. 001274753) to arrange the Dive Injury Insurance Plans. The Dive Injury Insurance Plans are issued by AIG Australia Limited (“AIG”) (ABN 93 004 727 753 AFSL 381686) and are subject to terms, conditions and exclusions.

HIG is a member of the National Insurance Brokers Association (“NIBA”) and has formally adopted the 2022 Insurance Brokers Code of Practice (“the Code”). HIG and DAN, as its authorised representative commit to act in accordance to the Code Principles. A copy of the Code is available on the NIBA website (www.niba.com.au).

Our Services – As an authorised representative we will assist with arranging insurance with AIG, answering queries regarding the AIG policies, providing general recommendations or general advice only regarding the AIG policies and notify HIG of a claim or potential if an insured event occurs.

When providing information regarding the AIG policy, we will not take into consideration your personal objectives, financial situation or needs. We are not authorised to provide you with personal advice.

Payment: This cover provided under the Group Policy and Terms is subject to payment of premium. Your premium is collected at time of enrolment or renewal.

We do not receive any remuneration or other benefit from HIG for assisting with arranging the insurance policies.

Your Insurance Premium includes the cost of these fees / included in your premium fee
For the insurance policy we arrange for you, the insurer will charge a premium that includes relevant taxes, charges and levies. We will collect the premium from you when we arrange a policy for you. The premium we collect from you for an insurance policy is paid to HIG and banked into HIG’s trust account. HIG received a fee that is equivalent to 11% of the aggregate monthly premium paid to the insurer. On the Master Dive Injury Insurance Plan, HIG receives a fee of $9.60 plus GST and on the Preferred Dive Injury Insurance Plan, HIG receives a fee of $15.60 plus GST. HIG retain this fee and remit the balance to the insurer.
