A Commitment to Conservation

The waters of southern Florida are famous for their stunning coral reefs and vibrant marine life. This underwater paradise is not only a playground for recreational divers but also vital to many people who depend on it for their livelihoods, including dive instructors. 

Dive Incident Reporting System

In 2012 DAN released a tool for divers to report dive accidents to help us quantify their severity and frequency. We revitalized the reporting process to make it easier and more efficient and relaunched it in 2021.

Royal Bermuda Regiment Coast Guard Divers

In February 2020 the Royal Bermuda Regiment launched Bermuda’s first coast guard unit, responsible for enforcing maritime law in its waters and providing around-the-clock search-and-rescue capabilities.
