As a DAN World Business Member there are many great reasons to encourage your divers to join DAN World! If you are not yet a Business Member, you can join the program HERE.
5. Dive businesses earn $5 to $10 for every new DAN member they refer.
Custom links and banners make it easy to earn these rewards — simply log into your business member portal and select the ‘Materials’ tab to access your QR code and digital banners. Use the banner ads with your custom link on your website, emails, newsletters, and social media to start earning.
Note: Referral rewards are not available in Australia due to local regulations but recommending DAN shows your commitment to diver safety. Contact the DAN Team to discuss the benefits available to your business.
4. DAN Student Membership is free to your students and free to you.
DAN Student Membership provides up to $25,000 in Student Dive Accident Insurance for covered diving accidents that occur during entry-level certification training. This includes entry-level scuba as well as breath-hold dive training. The coverage is valid until completion of the last certifying dive or up to 26 weeks after enrollment, whichever comes first.
3. DAN members have access to an emergency medical transportation benefit to help them get to a recompression chamber if necessary.
While it’s true that DAN provides assistance to any diver who calls (regardless of whether that diver is a member) only members have access to DAN’s emergency medical transportation benefit. This benefit is essential for any traveling divers because in the event of an injury they may need transport to a recompression chamber facility. The costs and complexity of arranging emergency medical transportation can be shocking, so it’s important that every diver has ready access to a chamber should the need arise. Remember that anyone can get decompression sickness — the vast majority of divers who get DCS were diving within their computer’s no-decompression limit. DAN members are covered by Emergency Medical Transportation & Travel Assistance Benefits for diving and non-diving medical emergencies any time they travel more than 80 km (50 miles) from home.
2. The costs of a dive injury can be extraordinary, and no diver should risk having to pay these costs out of pocket.
Only DAN members have access to dive accident protection, which offers divers coverage against the costs of dive-related injuries—including recompression chamber treatment, hospitalization, physician fees, and more, and plans are recognized worldwide. This is crucial, as dive injuries are often left uncovered by typical health insurance. Don’t let your students and divers risk having to pay for recompression chamber treatment themselves.
1. DAN is a dive safety organization; its profits are reinvested in safety programs for the benefit of divers everywhere.
DAN, a nonprofit organization, was founded in 1980 to help divers in need of emergency medical assistance. The organization works to promote dive safety through research and education.
