If you ever need help, DAN will be here for you. DAN medics are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to assist divers and medical personnel in managing diving emergencies.

If you think you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, call the local emergency services or get the injured person to the nearest medical facility. It is critical to ensure the person is stabilized and their condition is assessed by a medical professional. Once emergency medical services have been contacted, then call DAN for additional assistance or for a consultation with the local medical provider.

The DAN Emergency Hotline also connects DAN members with their DAN TravelAssist membership benefit. When you are traveling more than 50 miles from home and need travel assistance — whether it’s prescription assistance, a cash advance, translation services or a medical evacuation, all you have to do is call the DAN Emergency Hotline, and we’ll arrange the help you need.

What to expect when you call the DAN Emergency Hotline:

  • You will be asked for your name, location and callback number. If you are a DAN Member, please provide your DAN member number as well.
  • DAN medics may make an immediate recommendation or ask to call you back after making arrangements. DAN may reach out to its network to provide the best possible assistance.
  • If the call drops, we will immediately call you back at the callback number you provided. If you don’t hear from us in minutes, try calling back. Remember to dial the country code (+1) when calling the U.S. from another country.
